Appeared for the first time in Season 4 of Game of Thrones, the King of the Night has continued to grow in power over the episodes and seasons of the series to become THE greatest threat of Westeros. Was 100% epic with the battle between Winterfell and the white walkers and the King of the Night was obviously at the rendezvous you! But do you know who is hiding under the costume? It was first Richard Blake who played the character before leaving his place in season 6 to Vladmir Furdik.
The 48-year-old is in fact a stunt specialist and has worked on Snow White and the Hunter and his suite, Skyfall or Thor: the world of darkness. In Game of Thrones, he did not play only the King of the Night: he also played a white walker killed by Jon Snow (Kit Harington) in an episode of Season 5. To become the King of the Night, Vladmir Furdik must be patient. As Barrie Gower, prosthetic specialist on Game of Thrones, revealed, it takes 4 hours to complete the make-up and place the prostheses of the character. Yes, to freak the viewers is a long-term job!
